 Teaching German with Trauma Topic

2023-11-17

Learning German with Trauma Words investigates how language is built around trauma. Compiled from a list of German vocabulary words used while undergoing Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), a form of PTSD therapy performed by the artist at a local military hospital in Berlin, the project investigates the narratives that emerge during the process of "unlearning violence."

What are the latest "war words"? The research is looking into the rise of phrases associated with the war on terror, beginning with Bill Clinton's usage of the term "rogue" nations.

You can discuss this topic and practice new words with native German speakers and online German teachers simultaneously on Website - https://livexp.com/skills/german.
